Welcome to Rapeseed-Mustard Knowledge Management Portal

The objective of APART project component “Consulting services for technical advisory support on augmenting Rapeseed-Mustard Production of Assam Farmers for Sustainable Livelihood Security" is to uplift the agricultural sector of the state and inspire the farmers to adopt latest rapeseed-mustard technology to increase production. Under the project activities, enabling the use of Information and Communication Technologies (ICTs) in agriculture, the flagship initiative for this is development of an exclusive portal on rapeseed-mustard for Assam viz., Rapeseed-mustard Knowledge Management Portal for Assam.

This portal will serve as an information highway for sharing rapeseed-mustard knowledge through latest ICT tools including mobile telephony. It will also help agricultural departments’ ongoing activities in reaching out to the farmers through extension advisory services, in most effective way. Most importantly will enables farmers to provide production know how, package of practices, FAQs etc., in English and local languages.
